Shipping Policy

At this time, we only ship within the United States of America. We do not ship internationally. 

 

Shipping Options:

We ship using the common shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS).

 

Products shipped through a carrier service show available time frames and cost once you add a product to your cart and enter the recipient's information.

We also offer free USPS ground advantage shipping on all orders over $150.00 before taxes and fees.

Not all services are available for all products. delivery location, product type, product weight, and seasonality all contribute to the available delivery options presented.  

We do not guarantee date specific delivery as there are too many factors out of our control. However, we do everything possible to process your gift and have it in the shipping carriers possession within 1-2 business days regardless of the delivery method. Keeping this in mind, please choose the appropriate shipping option at checkout to ensure your gift arrives on time. We will accept returns due to delivery failure by a requested delivery date however, our standard return policy applies to any items returned for this reason (see below).

 

Loss Claims:

Issues must be reported to us via email within 14 days from order date. We will need to file a claim with the carrier. Usually, our delivery providers (UPS, Fedex, USPS) have a signature release waiver on standard - Ground shipments, and will leave packages at their own discretion (front porch, backdoor, neighbor, etc.) if they feel it is a secure location. Expedited shipments may require a signature depending on the carrier. Delivery tracking information will be provided on all packages shipped through a carrier. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery. However, we will be more than happy to assist you in filing a claim and putting a tracer on the package with the carrier for recovery or for a refund from the delivery carrier.

Refused Packages:

If the carrier returns a gift that has been refused a refund will be issued minus shipping fees, return shipping fees, cancellation fee (described below) and a handling fee equal to 15% of the order total.

Undeliverable Packages or Incomplete shipping Address:  

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide an accurate and deliverable shipping address.

Carrier Delivery Shipping (before carrier accepts package):

If a gift can not be shipped to the recipient due to an incomplete or undeliverable shipping address as provided by the customer, Avery and Lottie, LLC will attempt to obtain a complete and deliverable shipping address from the customer. Avery and Lottie, LLC will contact the customer via the email and/or phone number provided in the order confirmation to obtain correct address for the recipient.  If a reply is not received from the customer within 2-3 days of when the order was placed, as indicated on the order confirmation, Avery and Lottie, LLC reserves the right cancel the order in it's entirety. A full refund will be issued to the original form of payment minus the cancellation fee (described below) equal to 3.5% of the order total.

Carrier Delivery Shipping (if carrier accepts package):

​If the gift is accepted by the shipping carrier and can not be delivered to the recipient due to an incomplete or undeliverable shipping address as provided by the customer and the package is returned to us, the order will be canceled in it's entirety. A full refund will be issued to the original form of payment minus return shipping fees (described below), handling fee equal to 15% of the order total and the cancellation fee (described below). Avery and Lottie, LLC will provide proof as received from the shipping carrier that the delivery was undeliverable, upon request.

Return & Exchange Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may exchange or return any non perishable items within 21 days of receipt. The gift must be in it's original container and original condition (except for items received by the recipient in damaged condition). Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition. Please include insurance upon return of the gift. We are not responsible for items lost in transit. 

 

Return or exchange claims of undamaged items must be made via email to support@averyandlottie.com within 7 days of gift being received/delivered. Claims will not be accepted via phone. Returned gifts must be received by us within 21 days of receipt. 

Returns:

Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Once the return is received and inspected by us a refund will be issued to the original form of payment minus shipping fees, handling fees and a cancellation fee. See fees below for more information. For items that shipped for free, our shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

Exchanges:

Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Once the return is received and inspected by us a coupon code will be generated and sent to the buyer for the full order total minus shipping fees. Handling fees and cancellations fees do not apply to exchanged items. For items that shipped for free, our shipping costs will be deducted from the coupon code total. The coupon code can then be used at checkout to purchase a new gift to be sent to the recipient.

Perishable Items:

We do not issue refunds or exchanges on perishable foods and foods effected by climate conditions; due to health and safety regulations. There are too many variables out of our control once the shipping carrier is in receipt of the package.

 

Damaged or Defective Items:

We offer replacement for any damaged or defective gifts provided the claim is placed within 48 HOURS of the gift being received. All damage claims must be reported to us through email at support@averyandlottie.com within 48 HOURS of the gift being delivered. Claims will not be accepted via phone. Replacements will be shipped to the recipient once we can verify the condition or discrepancy via ground shipping at no cost to the customer. Again, we do not issue refunds, exchanges or replacements on perishable foods and foods effected by climate conditions. 

If a customer disposes of a gift and does not return the gift before we can verify the condition or discrepancy we will not issue any refund.

Fees

Cancellation Fee:

All canceled orders placed with a credit card or Paypal, which has already been processed, will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 3.5% of the total order. This cancellation fee is separate from any handling fees or shipping fees that may be associated with canceled, refused or returned orders as described in any of our policies.

Handling Fees:

Handling fees are charged to the customer when an item has already been packaged and delivery was attempted but not completed. These fees are for the costs imposed on us by delivery drivers. These fees also cover our time for construction of the gifts and the materials we can not re-use. We only charge these fees to our customers when the reason for delivery incompletion was not a fault of our own.

Shipping Fees:

Shipping fees are any fees imposed on us by the shipping carrier for shipping your package. If a package has already shipped, shipping fees are non refundable. 

Return Shipping Fees:

Return shipping fees are any fees imposed on us by the shipping carrier for the return shipping of your package to us. Return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund for packages that are refused by the recipient or undeliverable (as described above). Return shipping fees are the buyers responsibility when returning an item for exchange or refund.

Credit Card Processing Fees:

Credit card processing fees are not forwarded onto the customer except in the case of returns, cancellations and refused orders. In the case of returns, cancellations and refused orders the credit card processing fee is deducted from the total refund. This fee is the above described cancellation fee.
